Most of these activities are based upon or experience in Western Canada, but can also be part of a corporate experience at many places in the world.

Snow Architecture:

Learn to build a genuine igloo, a quinzee, snow cave or trench shelter out of snow. Travel to your chosen site on snowshoes or skis and learn from an experienced backcountry guide how to select the best site, test for avalanche danger, construct your dwelling and enjoy your stay in relative comfort. Learn what to eat to keep up your energy and warmth, how to obtain drinking water, what to wear to stay warm and dry and other key knowledge for winter travel. Snow dependent December through April

Includes snowshoes, boots, avalanche transceiver, shovel, snowsaw and ski poles

Snowshoeing:  

Its like summer hiking, only its in the heart of winter where the snow is simply too deep to travel through. Master the technique required to float atop the snow covered terrain and discover winters secrets. Learn about the magical under the snow world animals live in. Gaze in awe at the snow laden peaks surrounding you. Peaks that pictures alone cannot do justice to.
Snow dependent December through April.

Includes snowshoes, boots and ski poles.

Skiing:  

Choose your weapon! Cross-country touring skis or telemark skis. Its all at your disposal here in Canada’s west. Tour into the backcountry and see a world few have seen. The season is meant to be embraced and enjoyed. We’d better because it occupies much of our year! Climb to the top of a slope covered in fresh virgin powder and carve your way to the bottom. Cover some serious mileage atop track set trails in Canada’s Rocky Mountains. Snow dependent December through April.

Skijoring-(A.K.A. Skidogging):  

With sled dogs harnessed to you, enjoy the thrill of skiing down trails with very little effort. The sled dogs do most of the work! During your trip you will be working your own dog and learning the basics of skijoring. It will be necessary to ski on occasions to assist the dog. An orientation session will teach you how to handle the dog and the skiing and greet other skiers on the trail. Your guide will interpret your surroundings for you as you travel along. Snow dependent December through April.

Dogsledding:  

Mush down a snow bound mountain trail with a team of huskies. You can even have a turn driving you own team! Learn how to harness, drive and handle your team of dogs from your seasoned professional guides. The experience is exhilarating and the views are awesome.

Ice Climbing:  

Grab your ice axe and your crampons and get at ‘er. Learn this unique sport from an experienced and ACMG certified professional that truly embraces the spirit of winter. It looks more difficult than it is! Tell your friends that you climbed a frozen waterfall.

Includes boots, ice axe, crampons, helmet and harness.

Banff Park Eco-trip:  

Study the ecology of the Banff-Bow Valley area with your seasoned interpretive guide. Learn about the cultural history as well as the geological origins of the valley, rivers and mountains. A combination of guide, teacher and walking encyclopedia, your leader shows you the natural wonders of Banff Park. Discover the secret hide-aways of animals and how predators interact with prey. Read stories told in the tracks of wild animals, view carpets of alpine wild flowers or see some of the parks unique bird life. Stop and smell the "Wild Roses"! Year round

Wildife Tracking:  

Unveil the story told in the tracks of wild animals such as wolves, cougars, elk and deer. Basically anything with legs! Share the knowledge of a local naturalist or wildlife biologist on this journey of discovery. Best with a fresh snowfall.

Toboggan Party:  

What could be more fun than a good old fashioned Canadian toboggan party? Let us worry about the details. Warm yourself around a bonfire. Enjoy hot drinks and hearty food. Challenge your cohorts and see who can reach the bottom first. Dec. to Mar.

Includes sleds and other slidy thingys.

Traditional Canadian Skating Party:  

On a frozen lake full of laughs, games and hilarity, your group will love this one. Hot apple cider and hot chocolate as well as hot treats to eat wait at the shoreline. You’ll have plenty of warmth and energy to enjoy a great time. Ice conditions permitting.
